Her diverse decade-long experience includes everything from covering the Greek economic crisis on the ground in Athens, Greece, to becoming a stock-and-bond columnist on Wall Street, to co-creating and hosting an award-winning financial literacy show that airs on the Wall Street Journal Digital Network.

In 2013, she won Columbia Journalism School's prestigious Philip Greer Memorial Award for financial writing. She was a columnist for MarketWatch's popular Market Snapshot and Bond Report columns - together read by nearly 100,000 people every day. Before that she wrote about municipal bonds at the Financial Times Group, she covered the Greek crisis on the ground in Athens, Greece, as a writer for To Vima, the oldest national Greek newspaper, and as a TV correspondent for Intereconomía, a Spanish business-news network.
PRODUCER: Ellie is the Supervising Producer overseeing Barron's and MarketWatch video on the Wall Street Journal Digital Network - editorial, sponsorships and custom. During her tenure, she has co-created and produced 7 new shows, including a show in Spanish - the first of its kind for the WSJ Digital Network.
PROFESSOR & PUBLIC SPEAKER: Ellie is a passionate educator of the next generation of journalists. She has facilitated workshops for international students at Columbia Journalism School and was an adjunct faculty member at Fordham University, where she taught Multimedia Journalism. She is also the Newsroom Lead of the Dow Jones Youth Media - a journalism-educational program for high school students from underrepresented communities.
